IIT Delhi has announced the important dates for Online Application Process. Aspirants who desire to get admission for B-Tech and Undergraduate Programs in Indian Institutes of Technology IITs for the Academic year 2012-2013. IIT JEE 2012 will be held on 8th April, 2012.
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all-India examination administered and conducted in eight IIT zones across the country by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) for admission to undergraduate courses at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhubaneswar, Bombay, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi, Patna, Punjab, Rajasthan, Roorkee, IT-BHU Varanasi, ISM Dhanbad. The examination is to be scheduled on 8th April, 2012 (Sunday). There will be two papers for IIT exam. Paper-I will be conducted at 9:00-12:00 hrs and Paper-II will be conducted at 14:00-17:00 hrs
Paper I and Paper II will have sections in chemistry, physics and Mathematics
Both papers will be of objective type, designed to test comprehension, reasoning and analytical ability of candidates.
Eligibility: You must make sure that you satisfy all the eligibility conditions given below for appearing in IIT JEE-2012
Date of birth: Candidate belonging to GE, OBC and DS categories must be born on or after October 01, 1987 and those belonging to SC, ST and PD categories must be born on or after October 01, 1982
Minimum percentage of marks in QE:
Candidates belonging to GE and OBC categories must secure at least 60% marks in aggregate in QE. SC, ST and PD candidates must secure at least 55% marks in aggregate in QE.
Number of JEE Attempts
A candidate can attempt JEE maximum two times in
consecutiveyears irrespective of whether or not he/she passed QE. Those who have attempted JEE in 2010 or earlier are
NOT ELIGIBLE to appear in
IIT-JEE 2012.
How to Apply: Application procedure: A candidate can submit application either on-line through internet or off-line through prescribed (OMR) application form.
Online: For online submission of applications, visit any of the websites given below and carefully follow the instructions given therein. Candidates can pay the application fee through NEFT or through challan of selected banks. The application fee for online mode is ____for SC/ST/PD/Female candidates and ____ for all other candidates.
